SHIPPING POLICY

Customers may pick up e-bikes at our physical location or choose to have the e-bike shipped (additional charges may apply). Due to variations in size, weight, destination, and delivery method, shipping costs and delivery timelines may vary.

All deliveries are curbside unless otherwise agreed to in writing.

Flat shipping rates of $99, $199, or $299 apply to standard delivery locations. Subject to additional charges at the discretion of Ride the Wind Ebikes.

Any applicable additional charges will be communicated to the customer and must be approved prior to shipment. 

Estimated delivery timelines are provided for convenience only and are not guaranteed. Ride the Wind Ebikes Inc. is not responsible for shipping delays caused by carriers, weather conditions, labour disruptions, customs clearance, or other circumstances beyond our control. 

For shipments arranged by Ride the Wind Ebikes Inc., risk of loss transfers to the customer upon successful delivery to the shipping address provided.

 

SHIPPING TO THE UNITED STATES

We ship to customers in the United States.

For crated models/units (including Enclosed Mobility Scooters) are shipped to the U.S., Ride the Wind Ebikes Inc. will pay applicable standard import duties and customs associated with the unit itself unless otherwise stated in writing.  Customers are billed these amounts and are included in the invoice.  Custom shipping and quotes are needed before ordering.

However, customers are responsible for:

  • State or local taxes

  • Brokerage fees not included in the quoted shipping rate

  • Storage fees due to delivery delays

  • Address correction fees

  • Refused shipment penalties

For parts, accessories, warranty parts, and replacement components shipped to the United States:

Customers are fully responsible for:

  • Import duties

  • Customs fees

  • Brokerage fees

  • Tariffs

  • State or local taxes

  • Any additional border-related charges

Ride the Wind Ebikes Inc. does not cover or reimburse customs charges on parts shipments under any circumstance.

Failure to pay customs or brokerage fees may result in the shipment being returned or abandoned. All costs associated with refused or unclaimed shipments will be charged to the customer.

Customers must inspect the shipment before signing the Bill of Delivery.

  • Do not sign the delivery receipt if there is visible damage without clearly noting the damage on the Bill of Delivery.

  • Signing the delivery receipt without notation constitutes acceptance of the shipment as delivered in good condition.

Failure to follow this procedure may result in denial of a damage claim.

All shipping damage must be reported to Ride the Wind Ebikes Inc. within 7 calendar days of delivery.

To initiate a claim, customers must provide:

  • Clear photos and/or video of the damage

  • Photos of the original packaging and shipping materials

  • Proof of purchase

Damage reported after 7 days will not be eligible for review or compensation.

If the damage is cosmetic only and does not affect the safe operation of the e-bike:

  • The damage must be noted on the Bill of Delivery prior to signing

  • The customer must notify Ride the Wind Ebikes Inc. with supporting photos

At our discretion, the customer may be required to return the damaged item or e-bike for inspection before a replacement or resolution is provided.

If damage may affect the safe operation of the e-bike:

  • Refuse the shipment

  • Clearly note the damage on the Bill of Delivery

  • Notify Ride the Wind Ebikes Inc. immediately with photos

Do not attempt to assemble or operate a damaged e-bike.

To the fullest extent permitted under Canadian law, Ride the Wind Ebikes Inc. shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from shipping, delivery delays, or transportation-related issues.
